Custom Home Planning

Whether you choose to use a house plan from our catalog or want a unique, one of a kind custom plan, Salt City Home Designs is here to help you through the process. We offer a number of pre-drawn plans (or stock plans) that can be modified to meet your needs or taken ‘as is’ if the plan suits you.

You may also come to us with an idea of what you want and we can create a workable sketch with room sizes, dimensions, and elevations. Once you have decided on a design that best fits your needs, we will crate all the working drawings needed to build your home.

With all custom homes, your plans will require engineering. We will work closely with our engineers to insure your plans will meet the rigorous demands of the building permit process. Each city’s priority is to see that your plans meet all the safety regulations, and is built properly.

Stock plan prices range from $0.35 a square foot to $0.80 a square foot depending on size and number of copies required.

Custom home prices range from $0.80 a square foot, to $1.35 a square foot depending on size and complexity of plans.

Engineering is an additional fee, which will be added when applicable.

Any stock plan that is modified will be considered customized and applicable fees will be added.
